realised in collaboration with Anna Francavilla and Razvan Hanganu
an experiment upon the concepts of immersive experience and digital environment. The video unfolds as a one-shot walk into a wood, in which the walker incorporates all the audible sounds: as soon as the walker stops, there’s nothing else to hear, while the visual surrounding keeps living. This disconnection between visual and aural is used to question the aspect of realism of immersive technology and digital media. The work indeed explores a space where the simulation starts to deviate from being realistic.
